The weather outside is frightful
So after cleaning up all this pretty snow it’s time for hot chocolate. I like to make my version of instant hot chocolate. It’s the same as the pre-packaged and just as easy to make and use. I store mine in a canning jar with the mixing direction on the lid. This also packs nicely into the 2 ounce jelly jars for when we are on the go. If you use plastic I would thing the zip top baggies for lunches would be a nice treat. But I often will put the right amount into a pint canning jar and just add the hot water, instant cocoa and mug.
Instant Hot Chocolate Mix
- 2 cups instand non-fat powdered milk
- 1/2 cup cocoa, unsweetened (powdered baking cocoa)
- 1 cup of sugar (I also replace this with sugar sweetner for a sugar free version)
Mix together well and store in air tight container.
To mix: 3 Tbl per mug and hot water to fill mug. don’t forget the fluff!
