What a great weekend here. I managed to plant most of the garden over the weekend. I just couldn’t get it done. The sun and I have a love hate relationship. It makes me sick. So I would work a bit and sit a bit.
The eggs in the incubator are chirping and wiggling this morning and one of the Deleware chicks has poked a small hole in it’s shell. I can see a tiny beak in there. Daisy has been checking on them every few minutes and giving me the update, they are still there.
I’m off to the grocery this morning for a day of cooking. It’s my month to cook supper for Dick’s monthly meeting at the Masonic lodge. Every month a different family will cook dinner for them, I have June and December.
So I will spend most of the day cooking and getting everything ready for that tonight. I’m going to set the tables with fresh potted plants from my yard. On the menu is macaroni salad, potato salad, rolled ham and turkey and for dessert vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries and whipped cream infused with violet and vanilla.
It should be a good day, I hope you have a wonderful day.
