~Singing lullabies while rocking the baby to sleep & hearing the familiar squeak of the old rocking chair, that rocked both my boys, my niece and now my granddaughter.
~Doing chores early in the morning and hearing the soothing sounds of the horses chewing their hay.
~The sounds of the peepers while going to sleep.
~A good cup of coffee early in the morning and listening to the sound of the clock ticking, knowing time is going by and not caring.
~The laughter, joking and tales of the day at the dinner table with my family enjoying a good home cooked meal.
~Watching the cat hunt down grasshoppers from my favorite shade tree on a warm late summer afternoon.
~My husband and son’s calling me during the day just to say hello.
~And my favorite, giving the Haflingers, Sage & Jobie a bath and getting wetter than they are.
Oh that Avery! He is unlike any other cat I know. He is a rescue kitty and we love him.
He loves to talk to us, and he always is leaning up against something, he hates to lay down. He has also learned how to open the doors, we have the old latches on the doors and he know how to push them down to open it and believe it or not he closes them behind him. He takes his paw and slides it under the door and pulls it shut.
His favorite game is to ambush Dalton, jump out from hiding and hang on Dalton’s neck with his two feet, like a bear hug.
Have a great day and happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
I have to say, I think I may have a crush on Avery. he seems like a real character.
Happy Thanksgiving.
